Adam Toronto is chief operating officer for Leavitt Risk Partners. He leads enterprise-wide operations including general management, human resources, information systems, and operational expansion initiatives.
Adam previously served as Deputy Director of Advance for Secretary Mike Leavitt at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). In that role, he managed domestic and international Secretarial travel campaigns for departmental initiatives such as Value Driven Health Care, Import Safety, Electronic Health Records and Health Diplomacy. He was also part of a cabinet-wide team that organized two rounds of the Strategic Economic Dialogue between the U.S. and China, involving 10 U.S. Cabinet members and Chinese counterparts.
Adam also served in the Office of the Chief of Staff at HHS, under Rich McKeown. He supported Rich in overseeing public policy and operational aspects of the largest civilian department of the federal government with a staff of 67,000 and a budget of $750 billion.
Adam received his master’s degree in business administration and bachelor’s degree in political science and economics from University of Utah.
